Working in a group will be both informative and supportive as we bring the challenges into real time-space. Answering questions, exploring the info, and sharing experiences.
If you or your organization are interested in hosting a workshop please email for more information.
The presentations listed below are based on the approach of Dr.Neufeld from the Neufeld Institute. Dr. Neufeld’s approach has clear and practical implications for practice and treatment, regardless of one’s arena of involvement – child, adolescent, adult, marital, or family.
Power to Parent 1
The focus of this foundational course is to bring to consciousness the essential message that a parent’s power to raise a child lies in their relationship with that child. The child’s attachment to the parent is the key to supporting the realization of their full potential.
Power to Parent 2
Power to Parent: Helping Children Grow Up supports parents in understanding how children were meant to mature into separate viable beings and what their role is in helping them get there. As a parent there can be a tremendous sense of relief in knowing you have a helper in Mother Nature in raising a child.
Power to Parent 3
This is the third DVD in Dr. Gordon Neufeld’s Power To Parent video series with a focus on how to deal with the challenges of parenting without damaging the relationship. Every child gets stuck from time to time in the growing up process often leaving parents confused, frustrated and scared.
- The Question for this course is: How does the attachment-based developmental paradigm apply to step parenting, foster parenting settings?
- Dr. Neufeld’s challenge for this course is to distill the principles to the essence in order to make more universal the application.
- Our goal for this course is to do the work of transposing the material into one’s own particular setting through the support and guidance of other group members.
Crossing the bridge from childhood to adulthood has never been so daunting. The time of adolescence is longer than ever and yet society today offers little support in understanding or facilitating this transition. This course is designed to be used by parents, grandparents, teachers, administrators, professionals – anyone who desires to make sense of adolescence. Parents of pre-teens will find this course invaluable as preparation for what lies ahead as well as working through current challenges.
Making Sense of Anxiety
Anxiety in children and youth is reaching epidemic proportions, as one of the most common diagnoses. Anxiety takes many forms, including obsessions, compulsions, phobias, and panic. Various hand-me-down strategies attempt to address this age-old problem. But anxiety begs for an explanation in order to arrive at a solution that addresses the roots, not just manages the symptoms.
